Crazy stuff

Not my style, but this isn't time for subjectivity.

I heard some clipping on the loud parts. The easiest way to fix this is with a limiter on the main channel. Good job, though.

I've never heard the original so I don't have much to go on, but this is still really good. However, the drums seemed a bit crazy. It feels like they're kinda disorganized. Also, the song kinda dragged on. It didn't change up too much, but then again, maybe I'm just not very insightful ;)

Hope that helps.

Cosmos8942 responds:

Yes, this I know, I really should mess around with the mastering a little bit more. But meh, don't know if I really want to as I have moved on to other stuff already. I know the drums were a bit crazy. But you try making that many drums and not make it sound hectic once in a while! T_T

Its fuxin crazy like some random thing in your closet...or something.

Thanks for the review. I noticed the same issues but only after I uploaded the piece. I do not think I will go back though. I will simply leave it as is. Good enough anywho.

Nice

Nice song! I really like it. Personally, I would have classified this as progressive trance or progressive house, but that's my only complaint. Very professional sounding!

BrokenCrossfader responds:

Progressive House FYI, thanks for listening!!!

Good, but unoriginal

It's a good song. I like it. But it's not very original. It's got very few distinguishing features. Nothing makes this song stand out from all of the other songs. Sorry about the harsh review, but I think you've gotten enough "epic bass" and "great song" reviews.

But then again, nobody's gotten famous from being original.

The melody's pretty original though.

p.s., to everybody who disagrees with me: don't "useless review" me because you don't agree with my opinion. It's just that: opinion. I'm allowed to have one, right?

TMM43 responds:

I completely respect your opinion. Really I'd rather get 1 very critical review over 100 one liner reviews.
Thanks.

Kinda slow...but good

Very professional sounding. I wish I was more expressive with music. The track is more simplistic than most.

I like the compression or whatever on the choir part. It's a good chill song! But it is kinda slow...But I'm not one to complain about a slow song. Great job!

Hotplurplegnome responds:

thanks alot dude!
yeah it was intended to be kinda chill and i got the right sound
so this proves im versatile:D
but anyways thats for the support:D

Amazing!

Great job. Very professional sounding!

One complaint: the parts at 1:19, 2:05, and similar could have had a better beat or something in the background. Something with a nice and bassy kick and a poppy snappy snare or something.

5/5, 10/10 anyway

sdfmusic responds:

I do need to work on having less beat downtime, that doesn't lend itself well to dancing music, I know.

Expect more of this style soon, and check out OD'd on Stupid if this was really up your alley!

*brrmzzhfss*

The kick is too bassy. It's flooding the song. And the kick or the bass needs more notes or tones to harmonize with the rest of the song.

No offense, but it's kinda ruining the song. The bass is way too *brrmzzhffss* if ya know what I mean, and there's nothing to go along with the rest of the song. In the original, the kick serves as a kind of instrument that contains overtones that harmonize with the melody and make the song sound really good. It also serves as a beat keeper. This song accomplishes the beat keeper part (and very well, if I might say), but it doesn't blend well with the tonal side of things.

h4rdstyle responds:

I see the bass does overtake this song with the 'bhzz' sound, I will change it shortly. I know the kick should be used to overtake the melody of the song, so it would harmonize with the melody. I am rather bad at that, but I working to acomplish that. Thanks for the honest review! It helped me!

One thing...

Great song! I love the melody!

But there's a minor detail that's bothering me...is there a compressor or a limiter on the main channel or something? Because if there is, it's causing the sound quality to...I don't even know what to call it. It sounds like someones got their hand on the volume control and is moving it up and down really fast all of the time. It's making the song unenjoyable. This is fixable by putting some sort of volume control on the whole thing and turn it down so that the compressor or limiter or whatever doesn't really have to do so much.

Other than that, good song. It's not really Nu Style, but it's definitely Hardstyle!

Dj-Brand0 responds:

It's well, the song's heavily overpowered. It pisses me off too but I can't really change it now. I have to get around to mastering it properly. It's just the bass wasn't EQ'd so it fk's up everything.

I know, it puts me off too, and I was the one who made it lol.

Thanks for the encouragement to remake it. :D
Glad you liked the song.

Nice!

Great song! This is a killer song! Personally, I like nu style better, but this song is incredible! 10/10

Also, the 8-bit part was really creative and was a nice addition to the song.

Hotplurplegnome responds:

if you like nustyle better!
your gonna love my other songs:D
check them out please
and also thanks alot for the review

Noisecontrollers FTW!

Reminds me of a Noisecontrollers song! Great job! Keep up the good work!

Dj-Brand0 responds:

Nice, I don't really like Noisecontrollers. =\ lol I reckon they've only made like one or two good songs. I seriouslly reckon they could do better than they have.

Glad you liked it though. Thanks mate.

Nice

Not professional sounding, but very Tim Burton like...

...also, you spelled "Darkened" wrong ;)
