Nice!

I was bouncing along with it and I didn't even know it!

Nice kick. I'm planning to make a gabber track, but it's going to be very hard (200bpm, and everything through the same distortion plug)! I hope it doesn't come out sounding like crap because I'm not dutch :(

my tip is to take a pmw wave of some synth and then use lfo to pichbend it into a fine kcik

Okay...

It's not the hardest of hardstyles. What you need is a nice bass, playing that on the off beats (the "&'s" of "1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 1 & etc"), and if you've got an EQ on the kick, put some more high tones in it. I usually cut out 700Hz with EQ. Good work, though.

agnryfaic responds:

Sure, I'll just try that, thanks ;)

Awww, c'mon!

Why'd you categorize this under "miscellaneous"? It's a drum and bass song! And a good one at that...

John-Gaden responds:

xD Thank you. I just uploaded this so that a friend could download it and didn't feel like filling out the form legitimately. I'll probably reupload it with a real description and appropriate genre later tonight.

Hmm...it's okay I guess. It's not really my style of music, though. It's impressive though. Did you record all of those, or were they samples, or was it just a really good synth? Did you maybe have some help from friends or something?

TheMisterCat responds:

No, every element was recorded by me.

Psycho

Also, this style of music (fast, big kick, etc) is called "hard house," not dance. Though, the happy melody could classify it as dance...

This song is far to happy for my taste. It's far too happy for my lifestyle. I can't see this played at a party. In fact, I don't want to see this at a party.

Though, you did put a considerable amount of work into it...Good job on that. Hard work always makes good music. I wish I could do that. I can crank out one mediocre song a day, if I try, but this is way out of my 1-day range.

Try to slow it down. It's such a waste. Bangbangbangbangbangbangbang is no good. Though that melody may not sound so nice slowed down. Aaagh, I can't decide.

AndreaDigita responds:

Hard house??? wft!!! Fuck off abuser >:(

Nice Bassline!

I only wish I could make bass/kick lines like that! thud-whoomph, thud-whoomph, etc. etc.

dj-Nate responds:

I had your exact same problem when I first started.

In the piano roll, do this:

For the kick, just right click and click "Fill each 4 steps"

Then for your bass, do the bass like this:

(Just copy and paste into your addres bar.)

Hope this helps,
Nate
